You can't fucking choose who you love. I don't think you can. A boy who's handsome and chosen for you isn't love. You won't love him. At least, not unless it's meant to be. You can tell yourself over and over that you love this boy, but unless you really truly love him it'll never be love.
This is why I can't stand some people in my grade. It's like they cant grasp the concept of feeling. Breaking up with someone and dating someone else straight afterwards? That's not love. That's called cheating. You're cheating the other person of the feelings they should receive.
I realize, at my age when my body is shifting, and I've only begun to realize who I am and what I want from life, that I don't know what love is.
What's love? I've only seen the most of it out of storybooks or young couples on the street. My friends are in love, but how do I know how it feels like? That special feeling only happened with one boy, and when I was with him it hardly appeared. I don't know.
Love isn't when you want to hug or kiss someone. That can't be love, not how I see it. Love should be more beautiful. Who said grabbing someone in a kiss was love? I highly doubt that's even emotion. That's your gut talking, not your heart. I want to see your heart not your lips.
Back to my first point. You can't love someone for looks or personality alone. You can't just flat out love anybody. Love isn't like candy, pass one out everywhere. If you don't enjoy a flavor choose another. No, you can't choose at all. You can love the most dirtiest, jerkest boy ever and you can't change that. You can love a girl and you're a girl and you can't change that.
This is why I can't stand those religious obsessed humans, they're just not open-minded. They use God as an excuse to exclude people from their groups. It's pretty pathetic, in my opinion. Or are they just raised like that? Have they really deluded themselves into believing that forcing gays, lesbians, and bisexuals into exclusion and trying to "purify" them making this world a better place? Doesn't God teach that everyone is equal? Looking back through history, slaves, racism, and so much more errors by mankind, and who has tried to fix these mistakes? Only a choice, talented, few. And how many sinners were there? Is life supposed to be like this, only the talented ones can make a stand?
Back to love, can you choose who you love? I don't think you can, but might it be possible? I guess it can be. In a certain circumstance, sure. Why not? However, loving someone just randomly for exterior qualities is 100% wrong. No one should do it.
Well now that you've listened to me rant, in which I hope you haven't gotten bored listening to, answer this question? What is love to you?
